WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS QUESTIONNAIRE?
The aim of this online questionnaire is to collect information on individual senior cats. The information can be emailed to yourself and also others (eg your vet clinic) as well, if you wish.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY?
All carers of senior cats: those aged 11 years and over are welcome to participate.
In total there are 13 questions with an additional 17 optional questions on mobility, and we estimate that it will take you about 5-10 minutes to complete this questionnaire.
The data collected will only be seen and analysed by Sarah Caney (Vet Professionals). Standard questionnaire data will be anonymised and individual participants will not be identifiable in any published results.
WHAT IF I WANT TO WITHDRAW FROM THE SURVEY?
You can exit the survey at any point. However, if you click on ‘submit’ at the end of the survey, it will not be possible for you to withdraw your data since this data is collected anonymously. You should note that your data will be used in the production of formal research outputs (e.g. journal articles, conference papers, oral presentations, theses and reports).
DATA PROTECTION AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Your data will be processed in accordance with Data Protection Law in the United Kingdom. All information collected about you will be kept strictly confidential. Your data will only be viewed by Vet Professionals.
All electronic data will be stored on a password-protected computer file.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE RESULTS OF THIS SURVEY?
The results of this study may be summarised in published articles, reports and presentations. Quotes or key findings will always be made anonymous in any formal outputs. Information may also be kept for future research.
